5 astuces pour réduire la consommation de données mobiles sur Android.

Nous nous plaignons constamment de l’épuisement très rapide de nos données mobiles et cela est dû à plusieurs facteurs. Outre la petitesse des volumes de données qui nous sont alloués sur une période négligeable (on ne va pas s’éloigner du sujet), nous sommes aussi coupables de cette consommation abusive des données. Heureusement que nous sommes là pour vous donner 5 astuces pour réduire la consommation de données mobiles sur Android.

L’astuce la plus simple et la plus adaptée pour les débutants est tout simplement: désactiver fréquemment les données mobiles. Même si cette option est pratique, quand est-il de la consommation quand nous activons cette option? Les meilleurs pratiques du moins celles qui sauvent des vies sont:

Réduire les données en arrière-plan

Nous sommes sans savoir que plusieurs applications utilisent les données mobiles pour se rafraichir automatiquement sans aucune interaction de l’utilisateur. C’est le cas par exemple des Mails, Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp… Vous accédez alors à la liste des applications consommatrices de données. À vous de sélectionner laquelle vous souhaitez restreindre. Elle se mettra à jour lorsque vous serez à nouveau connecté en Wi-Fi.

Désactiver les synchronisation automatique

La synchronisation des comptes est l’une des options les plus utiles sur un smartphone Android. En effet elle nous permet de mettre à jour automatiquement les modification apportées à nos comptes. Par exemple, un contact sauvegardé sur notre compte Google ne se sauvegarde pas automatiquement. En effet en temps réel, nous pouvons utiliser ce contact mais sans synchronisation, s’il arrivait que nous perdions notre téléphone portable ou quelque soit l’accident, ce ou ces contactes ne seront pas disponible si nous décidons d’importer notre liste de contacts Google sur notre nouveau smartphone. Pourquoi? Bah notre carnet d’adresse Google ne s’est pas mise à jour.

Intéressant n’est-ce pas? Ceci n’est sans conséquence sur l’utilisation des données. La synchronisation se fait de manière permanente donc une utilisation permanente des données et il serait donc préférable de l’activer quand on en a besoin. Comment désactiver cette fonctionnalité?

Rendez vous dans les Paramètres de votre smartphone ensuite dans Comptes. Dans notre cas, nous utilisons un Xiaomi Pocofone F1 donc dans le menu Synchronisation.

 

Restreindre l’utilisation des données

Il est possible d’utiliser nos données mobiles de manière restreinte tout en définissant par exemple un quota de données par jour, pendant certaines heures de la journée, par application bref toute une panoplie d’options. Une alerte vous est envoyée quand la limite est atteinte. Pour y accéder, suivons les étapes suivantes:

  • Descendre la barre de notifications
  • Appuyer sur la consommation de données
  • Une page s’affichera comme ci-dessous affichant notre consommation journalière et mensuelle. De là nous pouvons personnaliser la restriction de l’usage de nos données.

Désactiver les mises à jours automatique

La plupart d’entre avions déjà eu nos données mobiles épuisées par des mises à jours automatiques des applications. La plus connue est la misse à jour automatique de Play Store qui met à jour automatique les applications sans notre consentement. Pour désactiver cette option, la procédure est simple:

  • Accéder à Play Store
  • Dans le Menu, accédons au Paramètres
  • Mises à jour automatique des applications
  • Ne pas mettre à jour automatiquement les applications ou Via Wi-Fi uniquement

Utiliser l’économiseur de données Google Chrome

Google a mis en place une fonctionnalité intéressante dans son navigateur web. L’économiseur de données fonctionne comme un VPN, et les pages consultées depuis le mobile passent par les serveurs de Google pour être compressées avant d’être redistribuées sur votre mobile.

En somme, à nous de juger quelle astuces nous conviendraient le mieux car certaines possèdent des limites si nous utilisons nos comptes très fréquemment.
